Description

1802. Napoleon Bonaparte's empire is stretched to its limits. While Europe rises against France, his greatest challenge unexpectedly emerges across the Atlantic, where Toussaint Louverture has transformed the colony of Saint-Domingue into the epicenter of a revolution that threatens the very foundations of colonial power.

What begins as a military campaign gradually evolves into an extraordinary contest between two of history's greatest strategists. Through private correspondence, Napoleon and Louverture exchange letters reflecting on leadership, justice, power, and the burden of governing nations. Though enemies, they develop a reluctant respect for one another, recognizing the qualities that made each man indispensable to his people.

Meanwhile, General Jean-Jacques Dessalines wages a relentless campaign on the battlefield, proving himself to be a fearless and often ruthless commander whose determination will ultimately shape the future of Haiti. As empires collide, every victory and every letter become moves in an immense political chess match whose consequences will resonate far beyond the Caribbean.
